Grand Canyon Day Hiking: Hermit Trail
CenterFocus offers guided day hiking trips in Grand Canyon National Park on the Hermit Trail. This five mile round trip hike down the Hermit Trail will take you to the small oasis of the Santa Maria Spring, and past ancient reptile tracks. The trail has a higher solitude and adventure factor, serving as one of the more challenging day hikes that we offer. The trail was originally built by the Santa Fe railroad so that Grand Canyon travelers could avoid paying tolls on the Bright Angel Trail.
