INTRO DAY HIKING BACKPACKING GROUP TOURS
RIM TO RIM BRIGHT ANGEL HERMIT
SOUTH KAIBAB / BRIGHT ANGEL
As classic as it gets! The Rim to Rim is one of our favorite

Grand Canyon guided backpacking trips. This trip will take us

rim to rim in Grand Canyon National Park. It begins in the heavily

forested, wildflower covered environment of the North Rim.

As we descend the North Kaibab Trail, we will stop at Roaring

Springs, the source of Bright Angel Creek, before arriving at

Cottonwood Campground where we will spend our first night.

The following day we will continue down the North Kaibab Trail,

crossing numerous bridges before arriving at the Bright Angel

Campground where we will spend our second night. Along the

way we will stop to look at the Ribbon Waterfalls. The third day

we will cross the Colorado River via a suspension bridge, then

climb up the steep Devils Corkscrew to Garden Creek.

From here we hike to Indian Gardens Campground where

we will camp in the shaded oasis of old cottonwood trees.

Day 4 is spent hiking up Jacobs Ladder and past ancient

pictographs. A fifth day may be added by hiking to Plateau Point

and exploring the canyon a bit on day 4 continuing to the rim on

day 5. As hikers from all over the world are interested in this

journey, permits in the Grand Canyon are difficult to acquire. We

recommend reserving six months prior to your date of interest.
