Our Phoenix, Arizona canyoneering trips are based near
Roosevelt Lake departing from Tonto Basin at 9:00 am. After
a brief stop, we will continue on a four wheel drive journey
through rivers and desert. Upon arrival, a two mile hike will
bring us to a spring-fed desert oasis and the head of our
technical canyon adventure.
Our canyoneering guides will provide a 30 minute ground
school training before we swim and scramble our way through a
golden walled canyon filled with crystal clear water. At the end,
rappel a flowing waterfall, landing in a sculpted grotto. After
a final swim, we begin a two mile interpretative hike back to our
vehicles. Our guides will return you to Tonto Basin around
4:00 pm.
Center Focus also offers ranch based canyoneering tours
located on a 27 acre private ranch tucked away in the beautiful
Sierra Ancha Mountains of the Tonto National Forest.
