Sedona Archaeology

Depart on our Sedona, Arizona archaeology tours around 9:00 am and step into the past with CenterFocus to experience American Indian culture as it was almost 800 years ago. At the height of this time period, the Sedona area was home to approximately 7,000 people with settlement sites consisting of pueblo ruins, cave dwellings and the most well preserved 5 story cliff dwelling in Arizona.

These tours are guided by our interpretative archaeologist who has worked at these ruin sites, giving you first hand, accurate information during this personally guided trip. This tour will take you to Tuzigoot National Monument, Montezuma Well, Montezuma Castle National Monument, and additional stops along the way to view other hill top ruin sites relevant to the ancient story of the Verde Valley.

Experience firsthand, the soothing sounds of a prehistoric irrigation canal, the panoramic views from the top of a pueblo roof, and scenic landscapes that have been significant to people for at least 10,000 years.

We will return to Sedona around 2:00 pm.
